In response to the CPAC meeting having to be hosted in another country other than the USA; per the link provided in the Opinion post the website states:
“Originating in the 1970s, CPAC became the annual rally of the American Right. The first European iteration of the conference was hosted by the Center for Fundamental Rights in the Hungarian capital last year.”….”including nearly 200 foreign decision-makers…”, “CPAC Hungary 2023 will therefore provide a unique platform for joining with our allies in North and South America, Europe, Japan, Israel and Australia in proclaiming “United We Stand!”
In lamens terms: CPAC started in America and is now GLOBAL. Of course it makes sense to host in other countries since it grew into a global initiative with speakers from all over the globe. Many democrats are all about open borders, but “United We Stand” (from Cpac’s website) means it’s okay to host a global event in another country too!
