Cynthia “Cindy” Boone, age 45, of Spruce Pine, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. A native of McDowell County, she was a daughter of the Terry Boone and the late Margie Yelton Boone. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Veronica Boone who passed away in 2020; paternal grandfather, Bill Yelton and maternal grandfather: Larry Boone. Cindy was a hard worker and always the sole provider for her family. She enjoyed fishing, working in her flowers, spending time with her family and adored her daughter, Journey.
Surviving is her father and stepmother, Terry and Gail Boone; her daughter, Journey Boone and paternal grandmother, Reba Robinson Boone and maternal grandmother, Iva Lee Yelton. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 11th, 2023 at Beans Creek Church of Jesus Christ. Rev. GB Garland will officiate. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
