Gary Winters, age 74, of Meadowlark Drive in Spruce Pine, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 at The Greens in Spruce Pine with his daughter by his side.
Born on June 1, 1949 in McDowell County, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret Hughes Winters.
Gary was a Vietnam Veteran. He spent most of his life as an automobile mechanic. He was a loyal member of the Marion Moose Lodge for over fifty years where he played thousands of games of pool. Anyone that knew him could not see a pool table or play a game of pool and not think about Gary.
Left to cherish his memory are his children; Randy Winters and wife, Sabrina, Leisa Buchanan, Chad Winters and Zachary Winters; his grandchildren; Alex and Sierra Stacy, Tanner Buchanan, Blake Webb, Annie Dugger, Weston Buchanan, Destiny Hart, Jaiden and Amaya Winters; and his great grandchildren; Brantley, Aubrey, and Hazel and the love of his life; Elizabeth Kay Winters Hay.
A celebration of life service will be on Saturday, June, 17, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Willis officiating.
