Blaine Walton Taylor, age 75, of Moody Lane in Plumtree, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.
Born on March 22, 1948 in Avery County, he was the son of the late Blaine M. and Anna Lee Moody Taylor. He was also preceded in death by a niece, Anna Taylor.
Blaine was retired from Henredon Furniture of Spruce Pine and was a member of the Plumtree Presbyterian Church. He was known as a giving person that thought of others before himself and he would give to others before caring for himself. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wildlife, riding his mower and mowing his yard, and sitting on his front porch.
Left to cherish his memory is his brother; Charles Taylor and wife, Lois of Plumtree; his nephew, David Taylor of Plumtree and his wife, Kathy Willis Taylor of Spruce Pine.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, June, 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Andrew McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home.
