Local young woman Alora Wilson of Bakersville won last year. She’s about as local as you can get. Why do you think there is bias? I’m not much of a pageant person myself, but this one’s on the circuit, no local residency requirement. They all looked like lovely young women to me, I mean if that’s your thing.
