Norma Faye McDougald Calloway, age 81, of the South Toe Community, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 at Yancey House.
A native of New Bern, NC, she was a daughter of the late James and Opal Simmons McDougald. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Duane McDougald. Norma enjoyed baking, cooking and painting. She loved her family and her grandchildren dearly.
Surviving is her loving husband, Troy Calloway; daughters: Jamie Andrews and husband, Kirk, of Hammond, IN, Tammy Hyche and husband, Chris, of Allen, TX and Lisa Batten and husband, Dwayne, of Burnsville; grandchildren: Kirk, Jr., Tyler, Ashley, Daniel, Julia, JC, Noah and Jonathan; great-granddaughter, Summer; step-sons: Randy Calloway of Asheville and Mark Calloway and friend, Ramona, of Barnardsville; step-grandchildren: Jordan and Max; sister, Donna Hughes and husband, Dennis, of Burnsville and brothers: Clifford McDougald and wife, Dorothy, of Erwin, TN and Basil McDougald and wife, Betty, of Valdosta, GA.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28th in the South Estatoe Baptist Church. Rev. Gene King will officiate.
