Earlene Bryan Hensley, age 87, of Burnsville, went Home to be with her Heavenly Father and husband, Ben. A native of Madison County, she lived between Burnsville and Edgewater, Florida. She was a daughter of the late Fred and Bessie Ramsey Bryan. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Ben Lee Hensley; two sisters: June Buckner and Oma Gail Rowland; a brother, Edgar Bryan; and her son-in-law, Roy Keith Taylor.
Earlene was a member of First Baptist Church of Burnsville since 1965. She was the owner of Clip and Curl Salon. She and her husband were “Florida snowbirds” where they spent their winters in Edgewater. She and Ben were a team; where you saw one, you saw the other. They enjoyed traveling, antiquing and fishing. Her greatest joy was her family.
Surviving is her son, Bryan Hensley (Lynn) of Burnsville; daughter, Connie Taylor (Dannie Price) of Marion; three granddaughters: Tabatha Edwards of Marion, and Hannah and Megan Hensley of Burnsville; three great-grandsons: Isaac Robinette, Micah Robinette and Adam Maynor, all of Marion; one great, great-grandson, Ayden Maynor of Marion; two brothers: Edwin Bryan (Loretta) of Marion and Roy Bryan (Nancy) of Augusta, Georgia. Several extended family and friends survive her as well.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 6th in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. A graveside service will follow in the Cane River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Chad Wise will officiate. Pallbearers will be Steve Box, Mikie Buckner, Freddie Bryan, Bradley Boone, Mike Bailey and Randy Miller.
