Since you don’t want to call it no one is “Press” then it can be called” Journalist” .When you talk about harassment and threatening public it could be the other way around (when public officials say you can’t record in here)a public place because there is no expectation of privacy in public- the person that is recording doesn’t have to answer questions or identify themselves unless they are suspected of a crime or committing a crime .Recording is proof and cameras don’t lie unless it is edited .Perhaps you should watch the video of a person (journalist) coming to a local -this area-business and recorded from the public right of way .Then you will find out that the owners of the business got educated by the journalist(press)and the police about our rights to record from public right of way. The journalist was an ordinary citizen. This is about educating public officials about escalating situations that it could cost taxpayers money for violating their rights.
