See you at the meeting?

What you or I “want” to call it or any “certification” have nothing to do with it. It’s about a skillset and a mission. Showing up with a camera doesn’t make anyone a journalist either. The explanation of a public place and privacy law or expectation is babble, uninformed babel. That said, as a former journalist, I always support citizens in public places in their right to record. Lately many have bravely done so in public all over the country. For that I thank them. That said, as a journalist I can assure you that cameras lie all the time and always have. This conversation started about access to a commissioners’ meeting which you have. Nothing more, nothing less.
