The main misconception aka misinformation and disinformation pushed in the world is the Clause means to keep God out of government. That is wrong, if that’s what the Separation Clause meant our money wouldn’t have “In God We Trust” on it. Our Pledge of Allegience wouldn’t state “One Nation Under God”.
Most Government sessions begin with prayer from the national level to the local level. So there should be no confusion on this matter. The Clause is not to keep God out of government, it is meant to keep the State out of Church!

The Senate in Session
The ringing of bells throughout the Capitol and the three Senate office buildings signals the opening of a day’s session and announces votes, quorum calls, and other legislative activities. The bells correspond with a series of lights above the doors on the north side of the chamber and at various locations on the Senate side of Capitol Hill.
At the beginning of each daily meeting, the presiding officer accompanies the Senate chaplain to the rostrum for the opening prayer and leads the Senate in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
We have a National day of prayer in America. https://www.whitehouse.gov/
In a unanimous ruling April 19, 2019 a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit upheld the long-standing requirement of the House of Representatives that it open each day it is in session with a prayer.

The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the centuries-old tradition of offering prayers at the start of government meetings.
I’m not sure how anyone can confuse this Clause, but it is one of the most confused concepts in America.
