In part as a result of foreign policy decisions and corruption going back to the 80s and the leadership then, our country has never been favored by or loved by the whole world. Despite speculation that it might, “the world” has not moved away from the dollar. All things end eventually and the dollar won’t always be dominant, but we’re not there yet. While the debt is certainly a concern, our military is still wanted, our weapons are still wanted, begged for, by all kinds of people, both allies and enemies. Thank God these insane ideas about having an empire are dying, though. That’s sure good. One can thankfully ignore the crazies who haven’t been to, know anyone from or studied much about the countries they keep yelling about. It may be the single most important thing we can actually do, do anything about. …that and helping each other right here in our community.
