Some of the bad that happens in America and the world is often because some people have confused their own need to judge with something divine. Whether you are a believer or not, that never turns out well. Some of the bad that happens is because some people have confused their own need to blame someone else for their unhappiness or dark perspective with divine judgement. That never turns out well either, though it often functions as an excuse to do nothing about the log in their own eye. They just blame the speck in their neighbor’s eye instead. It’s sad. I think Christians and people who follow other faith traditions really know that, but some tend to forget or they wear blinders so as not to have to see it.
