Talk has always been cheap. Or if you look at it another way, the refusal to see or talk about our problems has cost us all a lot. America, the idea, we the people, started being sold out by some almost immediately upon conception of that idea. And the “liquidation” as someone here called it was long ago, facilitated for the most part by corporate power and greed wielded by some Americans. Now we have a fire and flood sale. Literally. Fires and floods. No conquering necessary. In the immortal words of Pogo, we have met the enemy and he is us. Now that I think about it, talk isn’t cheap at all. Talk alone is very, very expensive. It’s cost some of us a lot. I’m grateful for the next generation coming along. A lot of them seem to understand we need more than talk.
