When the law is written so that what is legal is not necessarily fair or just, or what is fair or just might be illegal it does, indeed, benefit some people on either and all “sides,” those who make it their business to know all about the law without sufficient understanding of what is fair or just. It would help if some would understand that this can be changed without dividing up into teams and fighting it out. The only thing that makes me madder than being treated like a feuding hillbilly when we’re not is people acting like feuding hillbillies seemingly “proving” them right!
