I have a great uncle, old white man with a high school education, who grew up poor on a dirt farm. Made millions in his business. When he went to prison for fraud it was one of those country club prisons for white collar criminals. He said he met all “the best people” there, “elites.” Judges, elected officials, etc. when he got out he was still rich and still did pretty much whatever he wanted. Not bad for a good ol’ boy. …if you can live with yourself.
