Robert Aaron Wise, age 30, of Henson Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 24th, 2023 at Duke University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
A native of Mitchell County, he was the son of Rodney Wise of Henson Creek and Kathy Davis of Spruce Pine. He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Davis, Jr.
Robert enjoyed fixing stuff for his grandparents, shopping with his mother, talking about the Lord, playing X-Box, riding dirt bikes and four wheelers and racing remote control cars with his father. He had a loving relationship with his step-mother, Tiffany, loved being around children and helping people.
Surviving in addition to his, father, Rodney Wise (Tiffany) of Newland and mother, Kathy Davis of Spruce Pine are his sisters: Robyn Barnhill (Justin) and Hannah Davis all of Spruce Pine; step-sister, Cortney Street (Aaron) of Three Mile; maternal grandmother, Frances Davis of Spruce Pine; paternal grandparents, Ronnie and Lina Wise of Henson Creek and a nephew, Jonah Barnhill. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 29th in the Gladys C. Wise Cemetery. Rev. John McKinney will officiate.
