Larry Francis Allison, age 71, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 29th, 2023.
A native of Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Frank Thomas Allison and Ena Silvers Allison. He was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Betty Allison.
Larry was Military Police in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He and his twin brother, Frankie, enjoyed time spent together working on Frankie’s farm, and Larry spent five years doing so, as well as building Frankie’s cabin with him and laying rock there as well.
Surviving is his son, Larry Franklin Allison, Jr. of Easley, SC; granddaughter, Allison Bradley of Pickens, SC; and four brothers: his twin, Frankie Allison of both Rutherfordton and Burnsville, NC, John Allison (Susie) of Boiling Springs, Jack Allison (Sue) of Chesney, SC, and Jim Allison of Landrum, SC.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. on Friday, August 4th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services.
