So I guess it’s ok for Yancey County tax payers to pay state and federal taxes to support families and feed the students in every county that borders Yancey, but not our own families and students. That’s right, Madison, Buncombe, McDowell, and Mitchell all are supporting their students and families with free meals. Yancey tax payers will support these families but not our own. Shame on you Yancey leaders.
