School is right around the corner, but there’s still some summer fun left! Come weave your way through a story trail on the town square and get free back-to-school supplies from 10 am to noon this Saturday during the Sizzlin’ Summer Series.
Enjoy a back-to-school book bag and school supply giveaway featuring Elmo. There will be a story trail around the square with supplies to be given out at each stop as you and your child enjoy the sweet book “Butterflies on the First Day of School.” Come and say hello to Elmo and stay for the live butterfly release and celebrate Sesame Street in Communities. Plus grab a summer read from the AMY Regional Library Bookmobile.
Healthy Yancey, a program of Partners Aligned Toward Health, is a partnership of concerned citizens working together to improve the quality of health for all people in Yancey County. Healthy Yancey developed the Sizzlin’ Summer Series in an effort to increase connections between neighbors and people, increase physical activity, and create fun ways to play and be active in our community.
