George Berton Richard, age 82, of Burnsville, passed away on Monday, August 28th, 2023. A native of Church Point, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Jean Berchman and Amy Mae Daigle Richard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Venola Teresa Richard and a sister, Ramona Richard.
George loved traveling and riding in his car with his son, James, as well as eating out, shopping and watching comedies. He made lots of friends, and loved joking around with everyone.
He is survived by a son, James Richard and wife, Connie of Burnsville; two grandsons: James Richard, Jr. and Christopher Richard of Burnsville; one granddaughter, Christine Menard and husband, Josh of Spruce Pine; and 8 great-grandchildren: Selena Mae Richard, Alexander Miller, Joshua Menard, Jr., Jaydon Menard, Jonathon Menard, Jordon Menard, Nataleigh Menard and Gabriella Menard.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
