Mitchell Sheriff’s Report 8/20 – 8/27/23

Arrest:

Joseph David Matlock, 56 of High Point, NC. Detective J. Masters arrested Matlock for felony possession of Methamphetamine, possession of SCH III controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued $7,500.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Jessica Marie Anderson, 37 of Bakersville, NC. Detective J. Masters arrested Anderson for resisting a public officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued $2,500.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Michael D. Masten, 41 of Bakersville, NC. Detective J. Masters arrested Masten for possession of a concealed firearm, and resisting a public officer. He was issued $5,000.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Darlene Gardner Putman, 65 of Bakersville, NC. Deputy T. Silvers arrested Putman for failure to appear in court on misdemeanor charges. She was issued $1,000.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Amy Suzanne Edmonds, 47 of Holcomb, KS. Deputy A. Renfro arrested Edmonds for felony possession of Methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and child abuse. She was issued $15,000.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Ricky Lynn Bullard, 55 of Bladenboro, NC. Deputy A. Renfro arrested Bullard for felony possession of Methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and child abuse. He was issued $15,000.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Hezekiah Jude Bullard, 20 of Spruce Pine, NC. Deputy T. Silvers arrested Bullard for failure to appear in court on misdemeanor charges. He was issued $2,500.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Christopher Isaac McKinney, 34 of Bakersville, NC. Deputy D. LaPlante arrested McKinney for misdemeanor assault on a female, and violation of a court order. He was issued $10,000.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Bryan Shawn Ollis, 49 of Spruce Pine, NC. Deputy W. Hobson arrested Ollis for failure to appear in court on misdemeanor charges. He was issued $500.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/7/2023.

Dori Milan Brooks, 30 of Spruce Pine, NC. Mitchell County Deputies arrested Brooks for failure to appear in Union County Court on misdemeanor charges. She was issued $1,500.00 bond and scheduled to appear in Union County Court on 9/22/2023.

Carrie Elaine Townsend, 39 of Newalnd, NC. Deputy D. LaPlante arrested Townsend for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and outstanding warrants for arrest issued out of state. She was issued a secure hold and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Steven Wade Carpenter, 43 of Newland, NC. Deputy D. LaPlante arrested Carpenter for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Cody Ray Buchanan, 38 of Spruce Pine, NC. Deputy T. Silvers arrested Buchanan for felony possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued $25,000.00 bond and scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.

Austin John Lee Franklin, 24 of Spruce Pine, NC. Mitchell County Deputies arrested Franklin for Felony assault with deadly weapon with intent kill/inflict serious injury. He was issued $100,000.00 bond and schedule to appear in court.

Citations issued:

Austin Seth Bennett, 28 of Bakersville, NC. Detective J. masters cited Bennett for operating a motor vehicle, without having in effect the financial liability required by law, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in court on 9/20/2023.
