I don’t know for sure which towns or which of the counties the people arguing this morning are talking about, just assume it’s Burnsville and Yancey, but it seems to me few to none have a clue what they are talking about. God has nothing to do with it, so an act of God isn’t the answer. Usually anyone who starts by explaining “the problem in these counties and towns” and then referring to the Constitution in reference to local elections has just explained the problem with themselves, not with the towns and counties in question. While I certainly have opinions about town and county government and how it is structured …I’m in favor of well designed consolidated government in rural places… the person griping about two “standards” doesn’t seem to understand standards. …among many, many other things.
