A September 11th Remembrance Ceremony will be held in Mitchell County on Monday, September 11th. An emergency vehicle parade will be leaving Mitchell County Courthouse 615 pm traveling thru Spruce Pine to the flag on Grassy Creek, on the hill above Spruce Pine Chevrolet in the Yard Sale/Fairgrounds field, for the ceremony. All citizens are welcome to attend the ceremony and line the parade route to show support for your emergency services personnel.
