Did you read the parts in the Daily Mail that though Huntington Beach, California, council voted by the slimmest of margins to ban masks and vaccine mandates across the city, it was not based on fears of coronavirus, flu, and RSV, but fears of mandates? Did you read the part where there were no threats of mandates to begin with? Did you read the part where private businesses were told they could do what they want either way? Why in heaven’s name would we want to do this performative political silliness done in California here in our communities? How long are some people going to keep playing this silly Fauci as boogie man game? It’s getting old. I, personally, never met a situation where I wasn’t free and did’t have a choice. I know people who do not haven that privilege, it just never seems to be the people yelling about it.
