There is no falsehood being spread. There are members of our community who have said on various social media platforms they believe all materials that contain LGBT content should be removed from the library. Go on the library’s facebook page and you can see several comments people have made. In regards to the county commissioners yes they stated they wanted any material deemed pornographic removed from the library. In the meeting last night the head librarian stated the definition of pornographic material as deemed by the supreme court. And the commissioner stated that “he does not care what the supreme court says is pornographic. What he thinks is pornographic and the head librarian thinks is pornographic is different” So materials that are specifically LGBT are being targeted. Nothing is mentioned by the county commissioners or those in support of their decisions in regards to books that contain straight couples.
