Mitchell County emergency responders pose at the large American Flag near Spruce Pine Chevrolet GMC Monday evening. They paraded from Bakersville to Spruce Pine in remembrance of those fallen in the September 11, 2001 attacks. A ceremony with local officials was held at the flagpole at the end of the route.
