The Grand Old Party (GOP) no longer exists in its original form, it’s now the Party of Trump.
This was clearly displayed when 6 of the 8 GOP Presidential candidates during the Iowa debate raised their hands endorsing the twice impeached, 4 times indicted, with 91 criminal counts, candidate, if selected as the GOP Presidential candidate in 2024 primaries.
Political, legal scholars, and many Americans have rated Donald Trump in the number four position behind, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson & Warren Harding as one of America’s worst Presidents.
While endlessly ranting about illegal border crossings the House GOP has yet to follow one of its governing policy roles by developing fair, humane, well reasoned immigration policy and sending it to the Senate for passage. It does endorse a “wall” examples of which of we’ve seen broached time and again with Home Depot/Lowe’s Sawsall’s and ladders. BTW, according to the DEA & DHS, most illegal drugs enter thru legal points of entry.
The GOP overwhelmingly endorses restrictions on 50% of America’s population access to reasonable reproductive health care while virtually the rest of the industrialized worlds supports such healthcare.
GOP efforts to restrict/make more difficult, one of the clear tenants of our Republic’s laws, to ensure the voting rights of all citizens thru reduction of polling places, fewer ballot drop-off sites, denigration of poll workers & of course Gerrymandering (which admittedly both parties apply.)
Radicals & bigots have made major footholds in the GOP…this has been fostered by several House GOP members, i.e. Boebert, Greene, Jordan, being prime examples.
Quality education has not been a strong point for the GOP during the past 15-20 years. Case in point, over the past 16 years GOP “leadership” in North Carolina has fostered efforts to reduce public school funding. And why’s that you may ask?!
