Bobby Joe Ayers – October 1, 1936 – September 21, 2023
Bobby Joe Ayers passed away peacefully while in the care of Hospice at the Charles George Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Thursday, September 21st, 2023, at the age of 86. Bob was a veteran of the Unites States Air Force.
A private family gathering will take place on what would have been Bob’s 87th birthday, Sunday, October 1st, 2023.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Susie McCurry Ayers; daughter, Lynn Ayers Gillespie; granddaughter, Emily Grace Gillespie, and beloved nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Bascombe and Maggie Ayers; daughter, Pamela Kay Ayers; brothers: Ben, Charles and Edward Ayers; and sisters: Joyce Ayers Watts and Wilma Ayers Woody.
