Really surprised to see that both Burnsville and Spruce Pine have begun allowing panhandling. It’s only going to increase. It’s 95% of the time a scam. And it’s going to be at every shopping center and redlight if it isn’t stopped. It actually isn’t illegal in NC if you have the property owner’s permission so are they getting permission or is anyone just afraid to say anything to them? And before everyone comes at me, yes I realize the economic struggles in the world. Just think there are better ways to get help than to stand on the corner with a sign.
