In 21st century America there are currently two parties controlling politics and that’s not a game. An honest patriotic responsible individual must make the best choices possible with equity in mind within those systematic confines while working to change the system as has been done at previous points in history. Trying to win a crooked game or ignoring that it is crooked is complicity, not to mention cowardly and not too bright. Fortunately and realistically there are many ways to affect the growth of small-d democracy for those brave enough and smart enough to understand history. Hopefully, we’ll be spared the evil nonsense of a bunch of people spouting ugly self-serving insanity that has nothing to do with God or any other thing the rest of hold dear. While there have certainly been points in my life where I have chosen not to vote because of lack of real choice and I chose to protest by not choosing, this is certainly not one of those times. I’m going to vote for anyone in either party who will promise to put these dangerous people spouting this nonsense in jail. Never thought I’d see this ugly mess being preached in this forum, but it’s not the first time I have overestimated some folks.
