Justin Ray Bryant, 37, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 9, 2023. He was the only child of Steve and Shirley Bryant, lifelong residents of Yancey County. Justin’s greatest treasure was his family. His wife, Danielle Bryant and three young sons: Kyler, 12, Kaynon, 9, and Karson, 6, who were the center of his world.
Justin joined the US Army in 2008, and served as 92F Petroleum Supply Specialist. While stationed at Fort Hood Texas, he met and married his wife, Danielle in September 2012. After serving his country, he returned home to raise his family in the mountains he loved. Justin enjoyed operating heavy equipment and truck driving. Employment sometimes took him to various states.
Justin was an amazing husband, father, son, and friend. His work and military service enabled him to make many friends in several states and several countries. Justin’s kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need came from a deep faith in his creator. This man will be greatly missed for decades to come.
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 20th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Billy Bryant and Rev. Ryan Bryant will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 until 5:30 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 22nd in the Howell Cemetery.
