A weeklong manhunt continues for Sean Christopher Williams, a fugitive facing multiple federal charges related to child rape. Williams is reported to have ties to the Western North Carolina area. Williams is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with 3 tattoos on his left arm and hand. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He escaped on Wednesday, October 18, while being transported to Greenville, Tennessee, to appear in federal court. U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Tennessee, David Jolley, considers Williams to be very dangerous and believes he would do anything to avoid capture as he is facing numerous charges in Northeast Tennessee, including rape of a child, especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, and aggravated sexual battery.
There is a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to his arrest. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering $5,000, while the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is offering $2,500. Anyone who sees Williams or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
