No, it’s not hard to understand what you meant. You’re using a somewhat narrow interpretation of “the original concept.” The process set up by the founding fathers was in a time and place that allowed them to think aspirationally while acting to limit the power of the people, we the people. But today there are con men out there who want to get back to those good ol days without any of the aspiration that was the genius of those men in that time. They are a minority trying to overrun and manipulate the process set up by the founding fathers. That process was devised in many cases to limit the the power of the people to govern themselves, and to determine just who gets to be “we the people.” None of that is “very simple.” We can do better. We can look to the aspiration of the founding fathers. Yes, we need change and it’s going to be very hard. I think it’s wise while we are changing to keep our eyes on those who think it’s simple in concept or execution.
