Actually, it is VERY SIMPLE! A person works, sees a problem in government they would like to try and fix, they run for office. They get elected because their constituents believe they will represent them in DC. They go to DC with that in mind and only that agenda (whether they accomplish the goal or not), when they are done… they go back home and go back to their trade or career. Our government was never intended to have career politicians or be an oligarchy. That’s what it is today.
