Judy Blevins Branch, age 71, of the South Toe Community, went Home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.
A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Mildred Cook Blevins. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister and a brother, Jimmie Lee Blevins.
Judy was a charter member of Freedom Baptist Church and was the Treasurer since the church opened its doors in 1983. She was so proud of her church and church family. Judy was a “people person” who loved yard sales, cooking, and canning. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, mamaw, aunt and friend who loved her grandchildren and family deeply.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, Charles Branch; son, Bradley Branch (Tiphany), of South Toe; grandchildren: Makenzie, Paige and Jamey; brother, David Blevins (Gail), of Celo; aunts: Kathleen Hughes, Phyllis Blevins and Margie Blevins Wilson; sisters-in-law: Sharon Blevins, Jearleen Riddle (Dennis), Janice Sprouse (Roger) and brothers-in-law: Doug “Steve” Branch (Debbie) and Ray Branch (Barbara); nieces and nephews: Sandra Williams (Van), Stephanie McIntosh (Scott), Karen Peterson (Nick), Tristan Blevins (Kendra), Valerie Cook, Brandi Fox (Brian) and Michelle Fisher (Rick). Several other extended family and her church family also survive.
A private family service will be held in the Blevins-Branch Cemetery on Seven Mile Ridge with her pastor, Rev. Matt Murphy and nephew, Rev. Scott McIntosh officiating.
