There is no greater threat to America than the $33 trillion dollars of debt that we’ve dumped onto our children and grandchildren.
As one of only eight, and the only new Member of Congress appointed to the new Budget The federal government’s irresponsible spending of Western North Carolinians’ hard-earned tax dollars is jeopardizing our nation’s security. With the FY24 Budget Resolution that I’ve been helping develop since February, we will “Reverse the Curse.” This resolution will reduce spending by $16 trillion and balance our budget within the next 10 years. We must address this math problem so that our nation continues to prosper and the American dream is attainable for current and future generations. Time to get back to governing
The democratic process can at times look messy, yet this freedom to debate ideas is how our Founding Fathers intended for us to bring about the best outcomes for our citizens. Our nation is facing historic challenges and the America that we know and love is at stake. With unfettered illegal immigration, an impending economic disaster from uncontrolled spending and rising global threats, Americans are now counting on us to show the world that we are capable of governing and delivering a Congress that works for the American people. Financially supporting Israel As Israel continues to be attacked by Hamas terrorists, we must stand with and support one of our strongest allies. H.R. 6126, which I cast NC-11’s vote as YES, includes an emergency supplemental appropriations package of $14 billion for Israel to make sure it has the resources it needs to defend itself. This includes $4 billion to replenish domestic defense stockpiles and bolster Israel’s defensive capabilities, and $4 billion to replenish the Iron Dome and David’s Sling missile defense systems. The legislation will be fully offset by taking away money from President Biden’s Inflation “Expansion” Act of 2022, which was supposed to go to the IRS. Israel is our ally, and I’ll continue to support them as they continue their fight against Hamas. Promoting work and preserving the American Dream Hard work built our great nation – but too many people don’t want to work anymore. To reform unemployment benefits and promote Americans getting back to work, I introduced
At a time when businesses are already stretched thin, the Unemployment Integrity Act will require those who are claiming unemployment to show up to interviews and meaningfully engage in a job search. Come see the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall
The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will be in Western North Carolina from November 9-12. This tremendous program gives Americans everywhere who might be unable to make the trip to Washington, DC the opportunity to remember and reflect on the lives of servicemembers lost during the Vietnam War in their own hometown. The wall will be open 24/7 at the Veterans Healing Farm in Hendersonville. For more information visit travelingwall.us/. With my warmest regards,
