While it is important to approach differing opinions with open-mindedness because everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and perspectives and we could learn something by broadening our own perspective, it is dangerous to pretend that all opinions are of equal value or that all have basis in fact. Respecting the right to free speech is different than respecting anyone’s perceived entitlement or respecting their opinion that they have a right to impose their opinion on anyone.
