Politics in a Democracy

The only trouble I have knowing who to vote for is when sometimes, occasionally, my choices are both equally bad. That is sometimes the case. Not really often though these days. It is kind of depressing when it happens, when a candidate doesn’t have to be very good to be better than the alternative. But more and more the worst is so bad, so dangerous, that I still feel the need to vote. I spend a lot of time with people like our wonderful dedicated local election officials here in the county in which I live. Pretty sure, as close as I can get to certain, that locally there hasn’t been a ballot stuffing in at least the last 20 years or so in my county. And have seen no credible indicators or evidence that it has occurred on a statewide or national scale in longer than that. I hear a lot about that, but it just isn’t credible, neither the evidence, the sources of it or the flawed logic. I don’t care who wants me to shut up, I don’t. But, no, I can’t enlighten anyone else.
