Harold D. Glenn age 84 of Carters Ridge Road in Spruce Pine passed away Sunday November 19, 2023, at his residence.
Born on July 11, 1939, he was a son of the late Rev. Lloyd and Eula Mace Glenn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-six years Lucille Bartlett Glenn who passed away in 2017, a brother Harrison Glenn and a sister Lesley Brewer.
Harold attended Victory Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Steve Glenn and wife Karen and Darrin Glenn and wife Susan all of Spruce Pine, daughter Sandi Norton and husband Gary of Burnsville, eleven grandchildren; Dalton (April), Clayton (Kayla), Emily (Ethan), Kodi (Dennis), Tucker (Alesha), Tanner, Kenzie, Justice, Jacey, Journee (Josh) and Jessy-Kate and nine great grandchildren; Stevie, Jonathan, Owen, Amos, Tyson, Tripp, Taegon, Hazie and Parker. He is also survived by three brothers, Lloyd Jr., Lawrence and Chesley Glenn, one sister, Virginia Biddix and one special brother-in-law Ralph Bartlett and wife Linda of Marion.
A graveside service for Mr. Glenn will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday November 22, 2023, in the Newdale Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Revs. Barry Jenkins and Lawrence Glenn officiating.
