Wanda Anderson Silvers, age 75, of Swiss, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at Smoky Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Center.
A native of Graham County, she was a daughter of Margie Beasley Anderson of Fontana and the late Rev. Coyt J. Anderson.
Her husband Billy F. Silvers, who passed away in February of this year, also preceded her in death. Also preceding were her sisters: Brenda McCollum and her husband, David, and Deborah Gilreath; and her brothers: Cecil Anderson and his wife, Nora Lee, and David Anderson.
Wanda was of the Baptist faith and an avid reader who loved gardening, working in her flowers and cross-stitching.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Margie Beasley Anderson of Fontana; her daughters: Angie Bowman (Rick) of Bryson City and Lisa Banks (Gary) of Burnsville; a son, Billy J. Silvers (Jennifer) of Burnsville; grandchildren: Cory Pittman of Canton, Emily Beard (Brandon) of Shallotte, Andy Banks (Whitney) of Burnsville, Nick Silvers (Summer) of Burnsville, Madison Silvers of Burnsville, Isaiah Williams of Spruce Pine, Hunter Silvers of Burnsville, Bryson Silvers of Burnsville; a great-grandson that was on the way, Banner Jake Banks; sister-in-law, Barbara Anderson of Robbinsville and brother-in-law, Jimmy Gilreath of Dalton, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive along with Jeannette Thomas of Corbin, KY, who was like a daughter to her and Carol Searels of Dalton, GA, who was like a sister to her.
A private service will be held. She will be buried in the Silvers Family Cemetery.
