Bobby Howard Garland, age 69, of Jonas Ridge went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 27th, 2023 at his home. A native of Avery County, he was a son of the late Howard Bobby and Frances Biddix Garland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Barrier Garland and a brother, Billy Steel. Bobby was a member of Forest Home Community Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, being outdoors, joking around but most of all he loved and adored his family.
Surviving are two sons: Tim Garland (Shannon) of Jonas Ridge and Robert Garland (Jessica) of Pineola; granddaughters: Kesha (Derrick), Paige, Brooke (Cam) and Lacie Garland; step-grandchildren: Gracie, Nathan and Malachi; great-grandchildren: Adeline, Blakley, Nova and Aspen; sisters-in-law, Daphne Taylor and Ruannia Powell; brother-in-law, Roy Barrier (Sharon) and a niece, Summer Woody. Several other extended family members also survive.
