Debra Brown Taylor, age 64, went home to be with the Lord and her daughter, Bella Taylor, on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023. A native of Avery County, she was the daughter the late Basil and Betty Brown. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, John Malin Brown and uncle, Dallas Brown.
Debra was a very kindhearted soul who loved her friends and cared about everyone deeply. Everyone will miss her so very much.
Surviving is her husband, Kim Taylor; daughters: Amanda (Travis) Hughes and Heidi (Joe) Buchanan; granddaughters: Harper Buchanan all of Newland and Taylor (Keith) Gay of Oxford and grandsons: Nolan Hughes (Annette) of Hampton, TN and Grayson Gay of Oxford. Several other extended family members and friends also survive.
A commemorative service for Debra will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday December 12th in Sugar Mountain Baptist Church.
