Sylvia Ollis Bare, age 90, of Elk Park, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at Life Care of Banner Elk.
A native of Avery County she was a daughter of the late Harrison and Rose Brown Ollis.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Richard Bare I; sons: Ralph Richard “Dickie” Bare II, Butch Bare and Chuck Bare; sisters: Roberta “Tot” Ollis, Anna Mae Turbyfill and Euna V. Isaacs and brothers: Devoe “Bo” Ollis, Ken Ollis, Sam Ollis, Bynam Ollis and J.W. “Billy” Ollis.
She was a member of Cranberry Baptist Church.
Surviving is her daughter, Susie Harrell of Elk Park; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Several other extended family also survive.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date and burial will be in the Cranberry Cemetery.
