The Mitchell County Democratic Party will host its Christmas potluck party at The Dispensary (269 Oak Avenue) in Spruce Pine. The evening will consist of great food, good music, and warm fellowship. The MCDP will be partnering with the Beacon Center to donate winter items. Please bring coats, tobaggans, or gloves to be distributed to those in need through our local churches. We will have a drop off box when you arrive. The Beacon Center is an overnight shelter for anyone who needs to stay warm on Code Purple nights, when the temperature gets below freezing.
