I spend an awful lot of time following budgets, the federal one, the state one and the county one. I have worked on the border and lived in two border states deeply affected long before now by our long broken immigration system. It would help if the people blaming immigrants for the mess would do a bit more deep and historic research to understand that they are being misled about who is to blame for their suffering, real or imagined, and why, and just what “free stuff” who is getting and why.
