Marvin McHenry Everett, Jr., age 85, of Burnsville, passed away on Sunday, December 17th, 2023 at his home. A native of Martin County, NC, he was the son of the late Marvin McHenry Everett, Sr and Bonner Everett.
In Marvin’s younger years he enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife. Marvin challenged himself every day to learn something new by watching the history channel, reading books and searching the internet. He enjoyed going on archeological digs and listening to music. In the words of his loving wife, “he was sharp as a tack”.
Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Gail Martin Everett; his sons: Hank Everett and wife, Terry, of Burnsville and Martin Everett and wife, Tracy, of Maitland, FL; grandchildren: Paige, Riley and Desmond; two sisters-in-law: Jane Clark of Southern Pines and Jean Martin of Iron Station and cousin Pat Vann and husband, Dick, of Winston Salem.
An inurnment will be held in the Martin Memorial Gardens in Williamston, NC in the spring for family and friends.
