Miriam Lee Stamey, age 51, of Old N.C. 183, the Linville Falls community, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at the Watauga Medical Center in Boone.
Born on November 23, 1972 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Judy Pyatte Stamey.
Miriam was currently employed by Baxter Healthcare. She was a woman of faith and enjoyed reading her Bible. She was very proud of her four years of total sobriety. She loved her dog, Chloe and animals, including her chickens. She was a hard-working person and was involved in her community and would give anyone the shirt off of her back. She also enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, fishing, hunting ginseng and reading in her spare time.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughters; Serina Ramos, Mara Ramos, Marissa Ramos, Carolina Wheeler and Lilly Rash; her sisters; Darla Stamey and friend, Miranda Webb, Elberta Cook and husband, Richard; her nephews; Dylen Fischl, Waylen Fischl, and her side kick, Aaron Rouse.
A memorial service will be on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Murdock officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
