Rebecca ‘Becky’ Dale, age 73, of Sullins Branch Road in Spruce Pine, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.
Born on April 29, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Theresa Smith Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, Clay Dale.
Becky was retired from Mountain View Correctional after twenty years of service. After retiring, she worked part-time as a pet groomer for several years. She walked her dogs early every morning for exercise. She was a full-time mother and grandmother for her grandson that she raised, Isaiah most of his life.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons; Glenn Dale of Littleton, NC and Shawn Dale of Spruce Pine; her grandson that she raised, Isaiah Dale of Spruce Pine; and her sister; Suzanne Dayton of Spruce Pine.
A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 2:000 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Webb Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
