Robert “Bob” Arthur Bohres, age 84, of Burnsville, NC passed away on Friday, December 29th, 2023. Born and raised in Miami, FL, he was the son of the late Arthur and Eva Helen Marie Wicklund Bohres.
Bob served as a Sergeant in the US Army in Huntsville, AL from 1963 to 1967. He later started as an installer with Southern Bell in Miami and retired 31 years later as an engineering manager in Ft. Lauderdale.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Sherry Corbin Bohres of Burnsville; son, Craig Bohres and grandson, Brad Bohres of Boca Raton, FL. Also surviving are his sisters: Barbara Bohres Vacanti, Diane Bohres Smith and husband, Mike, and Susan Bohres Hansen and husband, Chip, of The Villages, FL; brother-in-law, Russ Corbin and wife, Angie, of Burnsville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to your favorite charity in memory of Robert A. Bohres.
