Carolyn Tallent Honeycutt, age 74, formally of the Ramsey Town Community, passed away on December 18th, 2023. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Doris Peterson Tallent. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jake Honeycutt and a brother, Frank Tallent. Carolyn was a courageous cancer survivor. She was a member of Cane River Baptist Church and worked at Farm Bureau in Burnsville for a number of years. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Surviving is her son, Shane Honeycutt and wife, Shelly; grandsons: Mason Jake Honeycutt, Austin Crave and Kevin Crave and wife, Victoria; one great-granddaughter, Adoline (Addie) Mae Crave; sisters: Becky Phillips and husband, Morris, and Norma Westall; aunts: Sonya Peterson and Maxine Willard; nieces: Heather Westall, Holly Wilson and husband, Austin and Laken Harris and husband, Ethan; nephews: Greg Honeycutt, Kevin Garland and Todd Westall; great-nieces: Presley Cook, Gabby Cook and Bella Garland; great-nephews: Dylan Honeycutt, Lane Honeycutt, Hunter Wilson and Ridge Oshiro and a sister-in-law, Christine Garland and husband, Leonard.
